Role Summary
- The Supervisor – Civil/Earthworks is responsible for overseeing all on-site civil and earthwork activities to ensure timely, safe, and quality execution of construction works.
- This role involves coordinating manpower, equipment, and materials; maintaining progress in line with schedulesand ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day earthworks and civil construction activities including excavation, grading, backfilling, compaction, and embankment formation.
- Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with survey teams to maintain correct levels, alignments, and tolerances.
- Monitor labor, plant, and material utilization to achieve daily and weekly targets.
- Liaise with subcontractors, material suppliers, and the QA/QC team to ensure smooth workflow.
- Prepare daily progress, manpower, and equipment utilization reports.
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identify potential delays or issues and take corrective measures proactively.
- Support site engineers in implementing inspection and testing plans.
- Participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings to ensure worker awareness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in civil or infrastructure projects, preferably in large-scale earthworks, roads, or industrial sites.
- Strong understanding of site management, equipment operations, and geotechnical work.
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and coordinating multiple work fronts.
- Familiar with basic project documentation and MS Office tools.
